About me

My aim is to help you achieve optimal health and wellness through education on evidence based solutions. My passion revolves around the advances in the field of functional medicine and how it relates to your pathophysiology to help you achieve your health goals.

With 20 years of experience in healthcare my passion is Functional Medicine! I became enamored with the root cause preventative approach because I spent years working as an Emergency Room nurse and saw so many devastating diseases such as heart attacks, strokes, cancer. Most times people didn’t know they were sick until it was too late or they waited until it was an emergency. What fascinated me most was how people were able to trace back odd symptoms that they didn’t think correlated, but were early indicators of what landed them in the emergency room and diagnosed with an awful disease. As a nurse, I specialized in emergency and intensive care, my goal is to help you avoid it.

My own personal health struggles have played a significant role in shaping my functional health mission. After years of suffering from gut issues without any solutions, discovering the root cause of my pain through functional medicine healing began. Health was especially important to me because I’m a travel enthusiast who was often held back because of feeling punched in the gut. I’ve gained vast understanding of how the gut interconnects with the brain and rest of the body. A healthy gut is my key to functional health. What’s yours?

This experience has given me a deep understanding of the challenges that individuals can face when navigating the healthcare system and how important it is to find the root cause. My passion and mission are to educate others on why and how to achieve optimal health and functional health for life.
